Video PR for health & housing clients

7 February 2012

NHS

Thorne PR’s work creating video content-led PR stories continues with coverage secured for two clients on the UK’s leading housing website.

Our work for NHS Wirral and Wirral Partnership Homes was featured on the Inside Housing website today (see image or click here).

The film produced was part of the community engagement campaign we created and delivered for the partnership's £10 million health and housing scheme.

The work saw residents invited to take part in a photography competition to decorate 375 metres of hoardings that are sealing the site while it waits for a planning decision.

People voted for their favourite photographs online at the website we created (www.bridge-court.co.uk) and also at an exhibition.

The top 25 were mounted onto the hoardings to create an outdoor art gallery for the community to enjoy.

The publicity secured on the Inside Housing website further underlines Thorne PR’s position as a leading agency for generating video-led coverage for clients.

Online media and users are demanding more video content than ever before and we have positioned ourselves at the forefront of this type of PR with similar coverage secured for clients including Liverpool Mutual Homes, Laura White and TPAS.

Supercar specialist retains Thorne PR

6 February 2012

Bridford

Supercar and luxury vehicle finance specialist Bridford has retained Thorne PR for the second successive time.

We have been the retained agency since 2010 and our on-going relationship with Bridford has returned tremendous results, positioning the company at the forefront of the prestige car market.

The new brief will see more focus on the car dealer trade media and a greater online presence being generated.

We are developing a range of campaigns to run throughout the year to provide more understanding of Bridford’s work and the unique products it offers car dealers and consumers.

Thorne PR unveils 375m outdoor gallery for NHS

4 January 2012

WPH

Thorne PR unveiled a stunning 375 metre outdoor gallery as part of its work promoting a £10 million scheme for the NHS and a local housing association.

The art is on the Bridge Court site where NHS Wirral and Wirral Partnership Homes plans to build a new health centre and 58 state-of-the-art properties.

Previously the site was boarded up with six feet high dull-coloured hoardings that were ruining the aesthetic appeal of the picturesque town of West Kirby in the Wirral Peninsula.

Thorne PR was tasked with making the site more attractive and to raise awareness of the development plans among local residents.

We devised a photography competition called ‘What Does West Kirby Mean To You?’ to showcase people’s talent and create an outdoor gallery for the community to enjoy.

People voted for their favourite photographs online at the website we created (www.bridge-court.co.uk) and also at an exhibition held in the town during an NHS consultation event.

Prizes worth £100 were handed out in three categories; primary and secondary schools and adults.

The gallery also features six stained glass windows that primary school pupils created using spray paint at a special art workshop we organised during the October half-term.

Chief Executive at Wirral Partnership Homes, Brian Simpson, said: “The event has been a great success and really captured people's imagination with over 250 entries received.

“Together with the stained glass window art it has created a wonderfully vibrant gallery that has transformed the Bridge Court site and has made people more aware of our development plans.”
