Project: National media coverage

Details of the announcement were closely guarded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation meaning a rapid response media strategy was required.

Results: We organised for the City of Film ambassadors – Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire writer, Simon Beaufoy and Monty Python manager, Steve Abbott - to be on standby ready to lead the announcement with the national media we had briefed.

The media was contacted and given embargoed information and then invited to the press conference and photo-shoot held at the National Media Museum.

It resulted in coverage being secured on the BBC’s Breakfast News, Lunchtime News and the Six O’clock News, Sky News, ITV News, Channel Four News, Channel Five News, BBC Radio Two, Four and Five, in The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express and The Hollywood Reporter.
